Thermal Power Station
From 1951 to 1966, construction of the thermal power station began on the Igren' Island, west of the Chapi settlement. The power station was built and operated until 1966. The settlement for the station workers was built near the power station and administratively included in the Amur-Nizhynodniprovsky district of Dnipro. The newly built residential area was granted the status of the city of Pridniprovsk as a city of energy workers due to the establishment of the Pridniprovskaya TES according to the decree of the Council of Ministers of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council of Workers' Deputies from December 2, 1956. The Samarsky district was established on April 6, 1977 and included: the city of Pridniprovsk, the village of Igren', the village of Chapi, the village of Shevchenko.

Museum Name
It is not appropriate to call the "Museum of Samarsky District", created 48 years ago, by cutting off the many-century history of the region. Variants: "Museum of Pridniprovsk" (geographical localization on the Left Bank of the Dnipro River), or "Museum of Nadporizhzhia" (as an organic functioning of ancient trading factors on the Left/Right Bank of the Dnipro River, as a single political, economic and administrative formation/complex)* * Post-Sarmatian, Pre-Sarmatian, Post-Sarmatian, Pre-Sarmatian — geographical, ethnic and historical Ukrainian region (province), which includes the basin of the Samara River (a tributary of the Dnipro). It occupies the eastern part of the Dnipropetrovsk region, the western part of the Donetsk region, the northern part of the Zaporozhye region. The lands of Post-Sarmatian were included in the Sarmatian Palanka of the Zaporozhian Cossacks. Pre-Sarmatian is also included in Nadporizhzhia. The historical centers of Nadporizhzhia in the late medieval period (X-XVIII centuries) were the settlements of Peresechintsy, Staraya Samara, Kodak, New Kodak, Novobogoroditskaya Fortress, Romanovka, Taromske, Kurukiv.

Cinema «Energy»
In 1985, in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Pridniprovskaya TES, veterans of the war, their relatives on the first floor of the "Energy" cinema spontaneously created an exhibition with personal belongings, letters from the front, awards, military formations, photographs, etc. In the early 2000s, the "Energy" club began to decline and was completely destroyed, the decision of the city council of the Samarsky district in Dnipro (Resolution No. 4/13 of January 28, 2005) transferred the museum's exhibits to the "House of Children's Art" and "Museum of the History of Pridniprovsk" charitable non-profit organization, which operated from 1974 to the Palace of Culture "Energetic" 18 August 2021 after the restructuring of the culture of the city of Dnipro, the "Museum of the History of Pridniprovsk" ceased to exist. The museum's funds were transferred to the Dnipropetrovsk National Historical Museum of D. I. Yavornitsky, the "Museum of the History of Dnipro".

First exhibition
The first museum exhibition in the city of Pridniprovsk was created in the school № 97 in 1959, with a change of name and profile (school № 146, evening schools, Center for pre-military training, Center for patriotic education) the museum fund was continuously replenished (local wars of the USSR, ATO, OOS), was the largest in the city of Pridniprovsk, until the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine in 2022, when all the museum's funds were transferred to the "Shlama-way of Memory" Zaporozhye Branch of the Museum of Glory "Shlama-way of Memory" at the Public Non-Profit Educational Organization "Children and Youth Center "Creative" of the Dnipropetrovsk City Council, Director Chub Irina Viktorovna. The number of units of the fund that was transferred to the Zaporozhye Branch of the Museum of Glory amounted to more than 90% of the total fund of the museum at the Public Non-Profit Educational Organization "Creative" of the Dnipropetrovsk City Council.

Our times
The only museum that miraculously survived to our times in the educational institution, losing 90% of its funds - 11 school. The museum was founded by the Pridniprovsk geographer Anatoly Mikitovich Kovalov[Cdpz1] , who worked as a geography teacher in the 11th secondary school at the end of the 50s - in the 60s. He organized a geographic circle with schoolchildren, conducted archaeological excavations and searches for objects of antiquity in Pridniprovsk and Old Kodak, created a museum with more than 10,000 exhibits. With great love and care, he collected historical material and published series of articles "History of the Chapi Ostrova". Published an historical note on the past of the village Staraya Samara. In 2004, the book of A. M. Kovalov "Obeleks over the Kodak Pass" was published, in the basis of which the materials of historical research of Nadporizhzhia published in the newspaper "Energobudivnik" for 1961-62. The book was written at the end of the 60s, in a typewriter, was known to many historians and geographers. In 2024, the museum of the 11th gymnasium of the city of Dnipro won the victory as the best historical and geographic school museum of the city of Dnipro
